Vision
The intercultural dialogue is a topic that has been discussed all over the world. Yet, between the oriental and the occidental cultures, there has been a bigger emphasis on talking of their differences rather than of their similarities.
Silkroad Outdoor Experience
The Silk Road does not only connect different cultures, but also a wide range of landscapes. These landscapes have affected the cultures in different ways and grades of intensity. They are important for understanding those cultures.
Silkroad Caravan
The New Silk Road is not a network of caravan routes anymore. It has become an intercontinental link with railways, highways and communication networks. Our cultural caravan is a long-term series of events performed in major cities along the entire route from Central Europe to the Far East Asia. In addition, future mobility will be an important issue of the project. Consequently we are going to travel along the Silk Road using innovative forms of mobility based on "green" energy.

Tibetan people would be happy to have a tolerant and open-minded dialogue with China´s political leaders. Instead, Beijing is continuing its fatal policy against Tibetan culture, completely blinded by fear as it seems.

Prem Dorji Lama from West-Nepal joined the Silkroad Outdoor Team. In May 2010, Prem stood on top of Mount Everest, being the first climber from his home region Humla Karnali to reach the summit of the world´s highest mountain.

It should be just a brief market test but it turned out to be quite an encouraging success. A pile of Silkroad-CD´s, brought to Kathmandu by Bruno Baumann and Michael Strohmann on their latest trip to Nepal, was sold out after a couple of days.
