Varna Concert of the Silkroad Ensemble
It took just three songs to make many of the young folk to dance and shout. "This is a night to remember", guitar player Thomas Poser said shortly after the concert had been finished. "People could see and feel how much we are enjoying to play together."

The musical diversity of this first concert was remarkable, considering that the five musicians of the Silkroad Ensemble had met just three days ago for the first time. They came up with an inspiring mixture of modern, energy-loaded and traditional world music, using Bulgarian, Turkish and Central Asian tunes for their creations. The next day, the ensemble received a spontaneous invitation from Bulgarian TV channel "TV 7" to perform on its big stage in Varna´s city center. The Silkroad Ensemble, though highly encouraged by such an invitation, unfortunately had to refuse this offer due to its tough time schedule.
