Dr. Nourida Ateshi

Caucasian Nourida Ateshi now lives in Berlin and works as an author and cultural scientist. Since 15 years she is conducting research on the culture and history of the Caucasian peoples. She pays special attention to the history of the Caucasian Amazons. Nourida Ateshi has succeeded in gaining several proofs for their existence in findings and wall paintings.

A route of the ancient Silk Road passed the Caucasus and particularly the rocky landscape of Gobustan. In this region south of Baku, that is nowadays an UNESCO world heritage, an ancient caravansarei has been preserved. In this caravansarei, Nourida Ateshi found a cave from 8000 b.c., and the cave´s wall paintings lead her to the interpretation that it was inhabited by Amazons.
